Texas – A 25-year-old criminal illegal immigrant from Honduras, was apprehended on April 2 in north central Austin by a coordinated team of law enforcement officers. Anderson Giron, who had been listed on Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List, was taken into custody outside a game room without incident.
The arrest was executed by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Special Agents and Texas Highway Patrol Troopers, in collaboration with the Austin Police Department’s North Metro Tactical Unit. Despite being on the state’s most wanted list, no Crime Stoppers reward will be issued for his capture.
At the time of his arrest, Reyes Giron was wanted in two counties. In Travis County, he faced a February 2025 warrant for deadly conduct involving the discharge of a firearm. In March 2025, Williamson County authorities also issued a warrant for theft of property.
Reyes Giron’s criminal history in the U.S. dates back several years. In January 2017, he was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for alien removal after entering the country illegally. More recently, in August 2024, he was arrested by Austin police for the same deadly conduct charge and was later released on bond. He remained a fugitive until his recent arrest this month.
The case highlights the DPS’s ongoing efforts to track down and arrest high-risk fugitives through the Texas 10 Most Wanted programs. The department maintains lists for most wanted fugitives and most wanted criminal illegal immigrants, prioritizing individuals considered to pose significant threats to public safety.
Reyes Giron is now in custody and awaiting prosecution on multiple felony charges across two counties.
