29-year-old man arrested, charged following assault of a 3-year-old child

Waco Teenager Sentenced to 14 Years for Gang-Related Shooting

Waco, TX – Waco police have arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with the assault of a 3-year-old child, following an investigation that began after video of the incident circulated on social media.

According to the Waco Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Corporation Parkway on Friday, January 16, after a witness reported the assault. Investigators located video doorbell footage showing an adult male violently attacking the child. The suspect later turned himself in to police.

The child was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for evaluation and has since been released. Crimes Against Children detectives were called to the scene to continue the investigation. Police said the suspect and the victim are known to each other.

Authorities stated the suspect was charged with injury to a child and booked into the McLennan County Jail. The investigation remains active, and additional updates will be released as they become available.
