Aunt, who had custody of the 4-year-old girl when she died, and her boyfriend told police that they didn’t seek medical attention when the child climbed on a shelf, which is five feet from the ground, and fell off because they were high on drugs!

Police officials said the victim’s relative, later identified as 24-year-old Brittany and her boyfriend, 34-year-old Adam, were both taken into custody and are now facing multiple charges, including: murder, abuse of a c0rpse, and tampering with evidence. The 4-year-old victim, Chloe, was in the care of both suspects. The unfortunate little girl was reportedly last seen alive by family and friends 3 months ago and was reported missing earlier this month.

Brittany was Chloe’s aunt and she reportedly had custody of the little girl. When authorities took the 24-year-old woman into custody, she reportedly said that in August 2023, her 4-year-old cousin climbed on a shelf in her bedroom and fell off. The woman also told authorities that she didn’t seek medical attention because she was high on drugs at the time.

Her boyfriend, Adam, also told investigators that the girl’s death was an accident and provided the same story about the 4-year-old girl falling off of the shelf. The 34-year-old man also told authorities that they didn’t called 911 because they were high. Investigators also discovered that Adam would physically abuse the child for after she soiled/wetted herself.

The medical examiner told investigators that the child suffered multiple fractures to her skuII and had ribs that were both fractured and separated. The medical examiner is attempting to determine how the 4-year-old girl suffered the fatal injuries. This will help prosecutors decide whether both suspects be charged with killing the child in an ‘intentional’ or ‘wanton’ manner.
