Waco, TX – Police officials said the 18-year-old suspect, later identified as Jada Millwood, was taken into custody and later charged with manslaughter after a shooting that occurred on February 25, 2024.

The fatal shooting occurred in the 3900 Block of S. Jack Kultgen Expressway at 1:39 a.m. When officers arrived they located one female who had been shot.

Life-saving measures were attempted and she was transported to a local hospital where she, unfortunately, succumbed to her injuries.

The 18-year-old suspect stayed on scene and cooperated with officers during the initial investigation.

Officers learned that Millwood was recklessly handling a firearm when it had been discharged, shooting the victim, killing her.

Millwood was transported to the McLennan County Jail.
