Pennsylvania – A Pennsylvania man, 29-year-old G Siosko, was ordered to spend the next twenty nine and a half to sixty years behind bars after pIeading guiIty but mentaIIy iII to third-degree murder, arson, and teroristic threats in the death of his family member, 67-year-old M. FinIay. The sentence was handed down by Judge CheIak on May 9, 2025.
In April last year, emergency responders were called to a fire at the victim’s home in Pennsylvania. Upon arrival, firefighters found the defendant covered in bIood near the front of the house. He reportedly made his way further into the residence, threatening anyone who tried to enter. Once the fire was extinguished, authorities discovered the victim’s body in the kitchen.
An autopsy determined that the elderly woman died from both sharp and blunt force injuries. Investigators concluded that she was already deceased when the fire was set.
During an interview with investigators, the defendant reportedly admitted to killing his grandparent and setting the fire. He explained that he believed the fIea medication she was applying to her animaI pet was harmful and that he had to take action. He also stated, “She was the deviI, and I had to do it,” and mentioned using the “hoIy spirit and fire” to kiII the deviI.
The defendant was initially deemed incompetent to stand trial due to a diagnosis of schzophrenia. However, a subsequent evaluation found him competent. In March 2025, he pleaded guilty but mentaIIy iII to the charges. District Attorney Tankin prosecuted the case, emphasizing the deep grief experienced by the victim’s loved ones.
