Waco, TX – The City of Waco has announced a series of temporary road closures as part of the Speegleville Road Improvement Project scheduled to begin on May 26, 2026.
According to city officials, construction work will take place along Speegleville Road between Highway 84 and the Middle Bosque Bridge, as well as portions of Oak Road and Bosque Lane in Waco.
The project is expected to continue through approximately August 12, 2026. Most closures will last between two and five days, while one phase of the project is expected to last between 10 and 15 days.

Officials stated that only one closure will be active at a time in an effort to minimize traffic disruptions.
Residents are being urged to plan ahead and use caution when traveling through active construction zones while work is underway.
