Waco, TX – The Waco Fire Department is warning residents to use extreme caution as Central Texas could see significant heavy rainfall from Wednesday night into Thursday, creating the potential for flash flooding.
The department urged drivers to avoid flooded roadways and reminded the public that water crossing a road can make it difficult or impossible to see the roadway and determine how deep the water is.
Waco Fire emphasized the importance of following the “Turn Around, Don’t Drown!” warning when encountering water covering a roadway.
