Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department thanked residents after National Night Out brought officers and public safety partners together with communities across the city.
According to the department, officers visited more than 20 neighborhood parties during the event, giving them an opportunity to meet residents, talk with community members and strengthen relationships outside of typical police calls.
“National Night Out was an incredible success, and we are so grateful to celebrate with a community like ours,” the department said.
Waco Police also thanked residents for opening their neighborhoods to officers and welcoming members of the department and other public safety agencies.
The annual National Night Out event is designed to bring law enforcement and residents together through neighborhood gatherings and community activities, encouraging communication and stronger relationships between police and the communities they serve.
The Waco Police Department said the evening was filled with neighborhood gatherings and conversations as officers made their way throughout the city.
