Waco, TX – According to the police officials, the application Deadline has been Extended to May 19th!
Waco Police Department officials also said that this two-week course allows high school students to learn about the Waco Police Department and gain excellent life skills.
The Junior Police Academy will begin Monday, June 5th through Thursday, June 15th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. concluding with a graduation ceremony on Thursday, June 15th at 6:30 p.m.
Students that are accepted into the academy must attend an orientation meeting on June 1st at 6:30 pm at the Waco Police Department located at 3115 Pine Avenue.
Both student and parent/guardian must attend this orientation to be eligible for the academy.
Who is Eligible?
- Applicants who will be attending high school grades 9th to 12th
- Must not have any criminal offenses higher than a Class C misdemeanor.
- Applicants with any misdemeanor higher than a Class C, felony offense and/or on probation or parole are not eligible.
All applicants will be subject to a criminal background check prior to acceptance.
