Capitol Region Mounted Horse Patrol Unit supports Texas DPS Foundation at Badges, Boots, and Bluebonnets event

Texas – The Capitol Region Mounted Horse Patrol Unit participated in the Badges, Boots, and Bluebonnets event hosted by the Texas Department of Public Safety Foundation in Larue, Texas. This annual event plays a vital role in supporting the DPS Foundation, which works tirelessly to provide assistance to DPS troopers, employees, and their families.

The Texas Department of Public Safety Foundation helps by offering scholarships, supporting professional and educational advancement, and providing critical aid during times of hardship. This can include offering support to families and employees affected by injuries sustained in the line of duty or by natural disasters. The foundation’s commitment is rooted in its mission to ensure that those who serve and their families are well-cared for in times of need.

During the event, the Capitol Region Mounted Horse Patrol Unit had the opportunity to showcase their skills and engage with the community. The event also provided a chance for members of the public to connect with DPS troopers and learn more about the work done by the Department of Public Safety. The patrol unit, known for their impressive equestrian abilities, played a key role in the day’s festivities.

The support from local communities during events like Badges, Boots, and Bluebonnets ensures that the DPS Foundation can continue its important work. Contributions to the foundation are crucial in helping DPS personnel and their families when facing unexpected challenges.

In addition to supporting the foundation’s mission, the event also helped to foster positive relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve, strengthening the bond of trust and cooperation. As always, the Department of Public Safety remains dedicated to serving the people of Texas with honor and integrity, and events like these highlight the importance of community engagement in making that mission possible.

The success of the Badges, Boots, and Bluebonnets event stands as a testament to the collaborative effort between the Department of Public Safety, the foundation, and the communities they serve.
