City of Waco offers Fire House to Your House program to help reunite lost pets with owners

Waco, TX – Through the Fire House to Your House Program, Waco residents can have stray animals scanned for a microchip at their local fire station. If a stray animal is found, it’s likely not far from its home.

By visiting a Waco Fire Station for a microchip scan, the animal’s owner can be located, helping to keep the animal out of the local shelter.

If no microchip is found, firefighters will provide residents with information on next steps.

Remember, microchipping your pet is the law in Waco, and free microchips are available to Waco residents.

Find the closest fire station to you, or learn more about the program at Waco-Texas.com/FireHouseToYourHouse.
