Waco, TX – The City of Waco is encouraging residents to take part in its free glass recycling program by dropping off clean glass bottles and food jars at designated collection points throughout the city.
In a recent public information update shared 15 hours ago, the city highlighted the availability of large, easily identifiable purple bins set up for glass recycling.
Residents are reminded to bring only clean glass containers and to avoid depositing tempered glass, which is not accepted. The city noted that additional locations may be added in the near future, with full details available at Waco-Texas.com/Glass.
Current drop-off sites include:
-
Heritage Square in Downtown Waco
-
East Waco-McLennan County Library
-
McLennan Community College (Parking Lot S)
-
Goodwill Headquarters on New Road
The program aims to reduce the amount of waste sent to the regional landfill by responsibly diverting recyclable glass. With this initiative, Waco continues to invest in sustainable practices that benefit both the environment and the community.
