Waco, TX – The City of Waco announced it has been recognized with a 2025 Texas Municipal League Municipal Excellence Award for its Lost Pets Waco program.
The initiative provides a free, interactive online map to help reunite lost pets with their owners by displaying photos and locations of stray animals found by Animal Control.
City officials noted that the project was a collaborative effort between the Communications & Marketing, Information Technology, and Pet Circle Regional Animal Center teams.
The program aims to support pet reunification and help reduce the animal population at the Pet Circle Regional Animal Center.
The city expressed pride in its staff for their work on the project and highlighted its ongoing impact in the community.
