Waco, TX – Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller issued a statement on Oct. 21 praising President Donald Trump and U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins for prioritizing America’s beef production.
Miller welcomed Secretary Rollins’ announcement responding to his call for action to support ranchers and stabilize beef prices. He credited President Trump for swiftly considering measures aimed at lowering costs for consumers while strengthening the cattle industry.
“After years of record input costs and massive industry consolidation, our nation’s cattle herd has fallen to historic lows,” Miller said. “This is a root cause driving prices higher for consumers and putting immense strain on producers.”
Miller added that he is confident President Trump will take the necessary steps to lower beef prices for American families and support the nation’s ranchers.
