Waco, Texas – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Waco District, in collaboration with its contractor, will be implementing daily closures on Loop 121 in Belton starting this Friday, January 31, through Friday, February 7. The closures are necessary for the contractor to complete final paving operations on Loop 121, specifically from W Avenue O to FM-439 (Lake Road).
Motorists can expect brief, intermittent delays at intersections throughout the project area during the closure period. Flaggers and other traffic control measures will be in place to manage the flow of traffic and ensure safety.
The ongoing work is part of TxDOT’s broader effort to widen Loop 121 into a four-lane divided roadway, a project aimed at improving traffic capacity and safety in the region. As construction continues, TxDOT is advising travelers to exercise caution, remain alert for construction personnel and equipment, and adhere to posted speed limits within the work zones.
