HOUSTON, TX — A woman in her early 20s is dead, and a man in his 40s is hospitalized following a double shooting that occurred late Saturday night in the Eastex-Jensen area of Houston.
According to the Houston Police Department, the shooting took place just before midnight in the 3800 block of Hage, near Eastex Freeway and Tidwell Road. Officers responded to the scene and found a woman with a gunshot wound to her stomach. Emergency responders performed CPR on the woman before rushing her to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The man, who was also found at the scene, sustained multiple gunshot wounds, including injuries to his shoulder and chest. He was transported to a local hospital and is currently being treated for his injuries. Authorities said he was shot at least twice.
