Educator used a duct tape before bringing in a ‘stronger tape’ to tape over her student’s mouth from ear to ear; the teacher also grabbed his hands and wrapped his wrists in duct tape, police say!

Police officials said the educator, later identified as 43-year-old Casandra, was arrested and later charged with child abuse after she reportedly used a duct tape to cover student’s mouth, bind his hands, and wrap around his head during class time. Initially, the teacher used duct tape. She then brought a stronger tape and the student, who was not identified due to his age, said that his lips and mouth were red and sore when he was able to remove the tape.

According to the statement, the teacher used duct tape to restrain the student. She was arrested last week. The student reportedly told troopers that his teacher first placed the duct tape over his mouth on Oct. 2 and repeated some form of the punihsment every day through Oct. 5.

During an interview with investigators, the student reportedly said that the teacher put duct tape over his mouth from ear to ear. This unfortunate incident took place in the middle of class. The student also told investigators that his mouth was red and sore when he was able to remove the tape, WBOY reported.

On Oct. 3, the teacher put duct tape over his mouth from ear to ear. On Oct. 4, the teacher again taped over the victim’s mouth from ear to ear, but also grabbed his hands and wrapped his wrists in duct tape. On Oct. 5, the teacher brought a stronger tape, which she then wrapped around his head over his mouth and onto his shoulders. The 43-year-old educator was booked into jail. She posted bond and was subsequently released.
