Alabama – An Alabama eIementary schooI empIoyee was arrested earlier this week on multiple charges related to alleged se-ual misconduct involving mlnors. The Grand Jury indicted her on charges of first-degree se-ual abuse, second-degree se-ual abuse, and entcing a child to enter a vehicle or residence for immoraI purposes. The alleged incidents occurred off school grounds and did not involve her students.
Alabama authorities initiated an investigation after receiving a tip-off regarding lnappropriate conduct by the 49-year-old woman, H. Osment, involving mlnors. The Detective Division, in collaboration with the District Attorney’s Office, conducted a thorough inquiry. A local children’s advocacy center, assisted by conducting forensic interviews and examinations of the juvenile victims.
The indictment alleges that on April 4, the defendant, eIementary schooI teaccher, took the child between the ages of 12 and 16 into a bathroom for se-ual purposes.
According to the indictment, the defendant allegedly engaged in se-ual contact by forcibIe compulsion while at an establishment away from schooI. She allegedly engaged in se-ual contact with another person who was less than 16 years old but more than 12 years old. Court documents indicated she purportedly enticed, aIIured, persuaded or invited a child to enter a bathroom for the purpose of a se-ual act.
In response to the allegations, the defendant was placed on administrative leave by the school district in early April 2025.The school district emphasized that the alleged conduct occurred after school hours and off school premises, and they refrained from providing further details due to the ongoing investigation.
Upon her arrest, the 49-year-old woman was booked into the county jail and later released on a $45,000 bond. Details regarding her statements to law enforcement during the arrest have not been publicly disclosed .
