ROBINSON, TX – Alison Shannon Morris, 44, was arrested on January 13, 2025, and charged with theft of property valued between $30,000 and $150,000 after allegedly embezzling funds from a local business, HOT Cheer.
According to documents related to the case, Morris, also known as Alison Creel Morris, had been employed at the cheerleading business located at 8081 Robinson Industrial Park Drive for four years. During her tenure, she allegedly siphoned off significant amounts of money through various fraudulent means. The business owner first became suspicious in February 2024, prompting a police investigation.
The owner told authorities that Morris had been mishandling cash and rerouting customer payments to her personal accounts. The report states that Morris directed funds from customers to her personal Cash App and Venmo accounts, under the guise of returning payments to the business. Further allegations included the theft of a substantial sum during a uniform purchase transaction, which involved both checks and cash.
Investigators later determined that approximately $42,270 had been transferred to Morris’ personal accounts. In the arrest warrant, a detective revealed that Morris admitted to receiving payments via the financial apps, but failed to provide any documentation when asked about the transactions.
Morris was arrested on January 13, 2025, and although she was initially held at the McLennan County Jail, she is no longer listed as an active inmate. The case is still under investigation, and authorities are continuing to gather additional information.
