Colorado – A Colorado parent, 48-year-old B. DiagIe, has been killed after he traveled to Louisiana only to be fataIIy shot by his child’s mother, 43-year-old R. AIIen. The woman was arrested and charged with second-degree murder following the fatal shooting during a chiId custody exchange. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. at a residence in Louisiana.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of gunfire at the location. Upon arrival, they discovered 48-year-old parent from Colorado, deceased at the scene. Louisiana authorities said the victim had traveled to Louisiana to participate in a scheduled custody exchange with the shooter, the mother of his child.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the initial investigation revealed that the woman discharged a firearm during the exchange, striking the victim multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives conducted interviews with several witnesses present at the time of the incident, as well as with the woman herself. Details regarding the defendant’s statements to the responding officers have not been publicly disclosed.
