Waco, TX – Waco residents and recreational users are advised to expect significant fluctuations in water levels at Lake Brazos from July 25 through the second week of August.
The changes are due to scheduled infrastructure maintenance and coordinated water releases managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Officials urge caution near the water, advising people to avoid low-lying areas and secure personal belongings along the shoreline.
The affected stretch may include properties from the Lake Brazos dam to Buster Chatham Road.
The City of Waco thanks the community for their understanding as they work with regional partners to complete the maintenance safely and efficiently. More information is available at Waco-Texas.com/News/Lake-Brazos-Announcement.
