Florida – A Texas man was arrested in Florida and is now facing multiple serious charges, including se-ual battery of a mlnor and threatening communications. The arrested followed a detailed investigation initiated by the Alabama authorities after a parent discovered se-ually expIicit messages between her chiId, 15, and the defendant, 52-year-old, G. Fo rd.
After the initial report, the Sheriff’s Office notified the Florida authorities earlier this month because some alleged incidents had occurred there as well. Florida authorities, working with the FBI, began collecting additional evidence. This included documenting the timeline of the alleged abuse, interviewing the victim and her mother, and identifying the locations and dates of the defendant’s travel that coincided with potential encounters. On September 19, detectives received confirmation from the FBI agent that the girl reported a se-ual encounter at the defendant’s Florida residence in May 2025, information that helped establish probable cause for charges in Florida.
The investigation expanded after the girl’s mother received threatening messages from the defendant on September 23. He allegedly claimed he had already paid a dear friend from the ClA to harm her. He also sent voicemails blaming the mother and the girl for the end of their alleged relationship. These messages and voicemails were reviewed and documented as part of a federal investigation into threatening communications, requiring coordination between the Florida authorities, Alabama authorities and the FBI.
According to court records, the investigation began when the parentfound se-ually expIicit messages on her chiIds phone. The victim, who had worked as the defendant’s assistant while traveling with him across several states, disclosed to Florida authorities that she had been in a se-ual relationship with the defendant for the past two years. She provided specific details about the incidents of se-ual abuse and explained that they exchanged se-ually expIicit images when not together.
His arrest was further complicated by allegations of threats made to the victim’s mother. Court records reveal that he sent a message to the mother, stating he had hired a hitman to kill her if she continued to involve her daughter in the investigation. This led to additional federal charges of threatening communication. While allegedly claiming he and the girl were in love and planned to run away together when she turned 18, the defendant proclaimed that she was his souImate and insisted the mother should listen to their story.
The FBI became involved due to the interstate nature of the defendant’s vetterinary work, which took him to various states, including Alabama, Florida, and Texas. Investigators believe there may be additional victims across the United States. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
The 52-year-old man remains in custody without bond at the county jail. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are continuing to gather information. They encourage anyone with additional information to contact Detective Rivera at (352) 369-6749.
