Arizona – An Arizona man was convicted earlier this week of second-degree murder for the kiIIing of his girIfriend, 30-year-old Hanah, and her animaI in Arizona last year. The jury found the defendant, 30-year-old T. Dofman, guilty after a six-day trial, and he is scheduled to be sentenced in Oct.
According to the Arizona authorities, the defendant reportedly contacted his former girIfriend after the kiIIings and admitted to the crime, stating, “I kiIIed her! I did it!” He also informed her that the victim’s dog was dead. During a video call, the defendant reportedly showed himself lying next to victim’s lifeless body, with bIood visible around her head.
The former girIfriend took screenshots of the call and alerted Arizona authorities, leading to a response from the County Regional SWAT Team. The defendant then barricaded himself inside the residence for several hours before surrendering without incident around 3:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim and her animaI deceased from gunshot wounds, a handgun on the floor, and a significant amount of alcohol and drug paraphernalia in the home.
The defendant was initially arrested on charges of first-degree murder and animal cruelty. However, after a thorough investigation, he was convicted of second-degree murder. The case has drawn widespread attention due to the brutality of the crime and the disturbing nature of the defendant’s actions following the killings.
Friends and family of the victim have expressed their grief and shock over her death. A GoFundMe page set up in her memory describes her as “a beautiful, smart, and funny woman” who “lit up rooms with her smile” and was always ready to help others.
The sentencing of the 30-year-old man is set for October 20, 2025, where he faces up to 25 years in prison. The case serves as a tragic reminder of the potential dangers of domestic relationships and the importance of addressing issues of violence and control.
