Waco, TX – According to the police officials, in honor of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, members of the Waco Police Department, representatives from local law enforcement agencies, and various community members gathered this morning in front of the Waco Police Tower.
Police officials also said that the main purpose of the gathering was to honor and remember the victims of crime whose stories have impacted us as a community.
Each attendee was given different colored balloons representing different crimes and wrote the names of crime victims that have affected them personally.
The balloons were then released into the air, memorializing the victims in hearts.
