Mom, who grabbed her newborn baby before she repeatedly and forcibly threw the 2-month-old child on the roadway, killing her, and then fled into nearby woods upon police arrival, was sentenced!

According to the court documents, the 21-year-old mom, later identified as Makalia, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole after he reportedly grabbed her newborn baby before she repeatedly and forcibly threw the 2-month-old child on the roadway, killing her, and then fled into nearby woods upon police arrival.

Prosecutors said the woman repeatedly threw her newborn daughter on the road. The 911 caller told the dispatcher about severely injured baby. The responding officers made contact with the woman, who was not identified, who was holding the injured child. Several witnesses told authorities that they reportedly saw the mother repeatedly and forcibly slam the 2-month-old baby Khalesie on the ground.

The unidentified woman was holding the severely injured child. The baby was rushed to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The motehr fled into nearby woods upon police arrival. She was arrested shortly after. One of the witnesses told local news outlet: “I don’t understand. Something had to go wrong. Postpartum, or something. Because she really is a very good mother. I don’t understand what happened.”

The DA’s office released the following statement: “The very woman who was supposed to love and support Khlaesie is the one who chose drugs over her children and caused her death. Makalia will die in prison where she belongs for committing these crimes against her daughter.”
