Texas – A Texas woman was ordered to serve 5 years in prison after being convicted of indcency with a chiId invoIving her thirteen year old chiId’s friend.
Last week, 44-year-old N. SoreIIs was found guilty on two counts of indcency with a chiId by se-ual contact. She was acquitted of two counts of aggravated se-ual assauIt of a chiId. County Judge HaII sentenced her to thirty months in prison for each count, to be served consecutively, totaling 5 years. Additionally, the defendant was fined $10,000.
The investigation began in February last year when the victim’s parent discovered deleted text messages between the defendant and her child, 13, in which the woman referred to the victim as “babe.”
Subsequently, the victim disclosed to his mother that the defendant had touched him inappropriately. A forensic interview at the Children’s Advocacy Center revealed that the inappropriate contact had been occurring since April 2023.
According to the arrest affidavit, the boy recounted two specific incidents: one where the woman picked him up from a game and engaged in se-ual contact with him in her car, and another during a party for her son.
He also reported that the woman provided him and other minors with aIcohoI and tobacco on multiple occasions.
The victim also allegedly told investigators that during one of the encounters, the defendant received a call from her husband, who asked if she was being unfaithful.
Authorities have not released information regarding any statements the defendant may have made to responding officers during the investigation.
