Waco, TX – Waco Police Detectives are investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred late on the night of February 8, 2025.
Around 10:59 p.m. on Saturday, Waco Police received a call about an individual dressed in all black crossing the freeway at I-35 near New Road. While officers were en route, a second call was made reporting an auto-pedestrian crash at the same location.
Upon arrival, officers found a deceased female at the scene, matching the description given in the earlier call. Preliminary investigations revealed that a northbound tractor-trailer struck the woman as she attempted to cross the interstate.
The driver of the tractor-trailer remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The identity of the victim has not been released, as next of kin have yet to be notified.
This incident is still under investigation, and no arrests have been made at this time.
