Shark expert visits west Waco library to inspire kids during summer reading challenge

Waco, TX – The West Waco-McLennan County Library hosted Matt the Shark Guy, an author, photographer, and conservationist, for an exciting ocean-themed event this week.

Children enjoyed thrilling stories about sharks, impressive photos and videos, and got hands-on experience with scuba and camera equipment.

The highlight for many was seeing the famous Megalodon fossil teeth up close.

Matt shared an inspiring message with the young audience: even from Waco, they can make a difference in shark conservation.

This event was part of the Mayor’s Summer Reading Challenge, which offers a variety of engaging activities throughout the summer. For more details and upcoming events, visit WacoLibrary.org.
