Suspect Apprehended After Carjacking and Pursuit in Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A suspect was taken into custody following a dramatic carjacking and subsequent pursuit in Harris County on Wednesday.

According to authorities, the incident began when the suspect carjacked a woman at gunpoint on Greenhouse Road at Clay Road. The suspect then fled the scene in the stolen vehicle.

Minutes later, law enforcement located the vehicle and a brief pursuit ensued. The chase took a dangerous turn when the suspect collided with another vehicle, forcing the suspect to come to a stop at the entrance ramp of SH-99 and Clay Road. This location was approximately two miles from the site of the original carjacking.

No injuries were reported, and the suspect was swiftly apprehended by officers. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the carjacking and the events that led to the crash.

The identity of the suspect has not yet been released, and further details regarding charges are pending.
