Texas – Texas has once again secured the prestigious Governor’s Cup, marking its 13th consecutive win and 21st overall in Site Selection magazine’s rankings. The award recognizes the state’s continued success in attracting business investment and fostering economic growth.
Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller praised the achievement, emphasizing the vital role of various industries, particularly agriculture, in driving the state’s economy.
“This remarkable achievement reflects the dedication of Texans from all sectors,” Miller said. “Especially our agriculture community, a driving force in our state’s economy. Our farmers and ranchers are essential in establishing Texas as the economic engine of America.”
The Governor’s Cup is awarded annually by Site Selection magazine to the U.S. state that records the highest number of qualifying corporate investment and expansion projects. The ranking considers job creation and overall economic impact.
Under Governor Greg Abbott’s leadership, Texas has maintained its status as a top destination for businesses, creating more new jobs than any other state for three consecutive years and attracting more than 300 corporate headquarters over the past decade.
“The Texas Department of Agriculture is proud to do our part in making sure that Texas remains the best place in the nation to live, work, and do business,” Miller added. “Accolades like the Governor’s Cup prove that Texas is leading the way, and we’re just getting started.”
