Waco, TX – According to the statement, the General Election for the City of Waco Council Members for Districts II, IV, and V will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
City officials also said that the first day to file for a place on the City of Waco ballot was Wednesday, January 18, 2023.
The last day to file for a place on the ballot was Friday, February 17, 2023, by 5 p.m.
A candidate for Waco City Council must file for office within the posted filing period.
The filing period can be found in the Notice of Deadline to File and the General City Election Packet.
In addition, candidates must meet qualifications outlined by the Waco City Charter and the State of Texas Election Code.
