The Waco Police Department announced the Community Opportunity Event

WPD: Applications are now open for the next Victim Services Volunteer Academy

Waco, TX – According to the police officials, the Community Opportunity Event will be held on May 20, 2023.

It will be held at the Dewey Community Center.

Police officials also announced that the Community Opportunity Event promotes a holistic approach that addresses the root causes of teen gun violence through community resources and healthy lifestyle choices which can help create safer and more positive environments for young people.

With the help of all sponsors, donors, and participants, the local police department can’t thank them enough for stepping up as they are helping make this event happen!
