Waco, TX – A truck fire near a 7-Eleven in Waco was quickly contained Tuesday afternoon, thanks to a swift response from local firefighters. The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. at the convenience store located at 2401 Robinson Drive.
According to a viewer-submitted video, the fire began after the truck’s battery exploded, igniting the vehicle. The footage, filmed from across the street, shows the battery on the ground in flames, followed by the rapid engulfing of the entire truck.
Firefighters arrived on the scene within five minutes and had the fire under control within two minutes of their arrival. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the explosion remains under investigation.
Authorities have assured the public that the situation was swiftly handled and posed no ongoing danger to the surrounding area.
