Two Men Arrested in Connection to Fatal Shooting in Plantersville

Two Men Arrested in Connection to Fatal Shooting in Plantersville

Plantersville, Texas – Two men have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday morning in Plantersville. Grimes County Sheriff Don Sowell confirmed that authorities received a call at approximately 11:15 a.m. regarding a man who had sustained a gunshot wound.

Responding to the incident, the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Todd Mission Police Department, Navasota Police Department, the Grimes County District Attorney’s Office, Grimes County Constable Precinct 3, and the Texas Rangers, arrived at a residence located off Blue Lake Drive in Plantersville.

Upon conducting a preliminary investigation, authorities determined that the victim, whose identity has not been released, succumbed to his injuries.

As a result of the investigation, two individuals were arrested in connection with the crime. Thomas Paul King, 39, has been charged with Murder, a first-degree felony, and Aggravated Assault by Threat, Deadly Weapon, a second-degree felony. Rune Cristien King, 36, faces charges of Aggravated Assault by Threat, Deadly Weapon, a second-degree felony. Both men are currently in custody as the investigation remains ongoing.

Sheriff Sowell assured the public that authorities are continuing to gather evidence, and additional details may be released as the investigation progresses.

This tragic incident has left the community in shock, and local authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
