Waco, TX – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) announced that it will remove the northbound I-35 bridge over New Road as part of the My35 Waco South Construction Project to widen and rebuild I-35.
To complete the work safely, all lanes on eastbound and westbound New Road, along with the turnaround under I-35, will close at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 12.
Crews expect to reopen the roadway and turnaround by 7 a.m. on Monday, September 15.
TxDOT stated that I-35 main lanes and frontage roads will remain open in both directions during the closure.
Traffic signals will also remain green to help keep vehicles moving smoothly.
