Victim services volunteer academy accepting applications for April session

WPD: Applications are now open for the next Victim Services Volunteer Academy

Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department is accepting applications for the next Victim Services Volunteer Academy, which begins on April 7, 2025.

The academy will run from April 7 to April 16, with classes held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the department.

The Victim Services unit relies on volunteers to assist individuals in crisis, providing comfort and support to those in distress.

Volunteers play a crucial role in helping victims throughout Waco and the surrounding county.

Those interested in making a difference in their community are encouraged to apply.
