Waco, TX – Despite cold temperatures, community members turned out Saturday to participate in the Special Olympics Polar Plunge, showing strong support for the athletes and organization it benefits.
The Waco Police Department thanked everyone who took part in the event, noting that while the morning was chilly, the enthusiasm and community spirit made a lasting impact.
Proceeds from the Polar Plunge support Special Olympics programs and athletes throughout the region.
Officials said the event highlighted the community’s continued commitment to inclusion and support for Special Olympics.
