Waco, TX – The Waco Fire Department, in partnership with the American Red Cross, is hosting a free 30-minute hands-only CPR class on Saturday, May 24th.
The class will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the Doris Miller Community Center, located at 1020 Elm Avenue. No registration is required to attend.
With over 350,000 cardiac arrests occurring outside of hospitals annually, the class aims to equip community members with the skills needed to deliver lifesaving hands-only CPR.
This technique involves chest compressions without rescue breaths and has been shown to increase the chance of survival when performed immediately.
