Waco, TX – The Waco Fire Department celebrated the promotion of Devon McPherson to captain at Station 8 in a recent badge pinning ceremony.
During the ceremony, McPherson’s father, Captain J.D. McPherson, had the honor of pinning his son’s new badge, marking a memorable moment for the family.
Captain McPherson began his career with Waco Fire in 2017, serving as a firefighter, engineer, and lieutenant.
He is also a member of Texas Task Force 1, a FEMA Urban Search and Rescue team that responds to disasters across Texas and the United States.
Officials thanked the Waco Fire Department for their continued dedication to keeping the community safe.
