Waco, TX – The Waco Fire Department invites the community to join them in celebrating the grand opening of Fire Station #15 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. at the new station located at 10905 Panther Way, near the Ritchie Road water tower.
Attendees will enjoy refreshments, a fire engine push-in ceremony, and a special appearance by Sparky the Fire Dog. The celebration marks the completion of the state-of-the-art facility, a significant investment in the West Waco neighborhood.
Fire Station #15, a $6 million, 8,200 square-foot building, is designed to meet the growing needs of the area, which has experienced rapid residential development in recent years.
The facility includes a three-bay setup, individual sleeping quarters for up to eight fire personnel per shift, specialized equipment for cleaning firefighters’ gear, and apparatus exhaust removal systems.
There are also decontamination areas available before personnel enter the station.
The new station will be fully staffed with one captain, two lieutenants, three engineers, and six firefighters, with a minimum of three personnel on duty daily.
This new facility will improve response times and ensure the department’s readiness to handle emergencies efficiently, further maintaining the department’s high standards for emergency services.
