Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department’s Junior Police Academy (JPA) continues to offer an engaging and educational experience for students interested in law enforcement careers. This week, participants expanded their knowledge beyond the Waco PD by learning about several surrounding agencies.
Students received presentations and insights from representatives of the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), and local Game Wardens. This diverse exposure helps broaden their understanding of the different roles and responsibilities within law enforcement across the region.
The Waco PD emphasized the value of introducing youth to a variety of public safety careers, fostering community connections and inspiring the next generation of officers.
