Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department announced that Sergeant Cassie Price, Detective Todd Rajkowski, District Attorney Josh Tetens, and Assistant District Attorneys Christi Hunting Horse and Rebeckah Lawson have been honored with the Frederic M. Thrasher Award for their work addressing gang violence in Waco.
The award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the understanding and prosecution of gang-related crime through research, investigation, and training.
Established in 1992 by the Journal of Gang Research, the Thrasher Award highlights those considered leading experts in the field.
According to Waco Police officials, the honorees have worked diligently to identify offenders, build strong cases through precise investigations, and collaborate to ensure justice is served for victims and the community.
The department praised the recipients for their dedication and hard work in supporting public safety throughout Waco and McLennan County.
