Waco Police Arrest Suspect in Early Morning Shooting at TrueLove Bar

Waco, TX – A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred early Friday morning at a downtown Waco bar.

According to Waco Police spokesperson Cierra Shipley, 22-year-old Brian Doston was taken into custody after allegedly shooting two individuals at TrueLove Bar, located at 414 Franklin Avenue. The incident occurred at approximately 12:34 a.m. Friday.

Authorities responded to the scene and found two victims who had been shot. The victims’ identities and current conditions have not yet been disclosed by police. No additional details regarding the motive behind the shooting have been released.

Doston was apprehended at the scene and charged in connection with the shooting. Investigators are continuing to gather information as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

TrueLove Bar, located in the heart of downtown Waco, is a popular nightlife spot in the area. This shooting marks a rare act of violence in the otherwise quiet neighborhood.

The Waco Police Department has urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward as the investigation continues.
