Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department has arrested 19-year-old Gregory Clay, who has been charged with murder in connection to the February 5, 2025, shooting death of 34-year-old Keith Cobb II.
The arrest was made possible with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.
The incident occurred on the evening of February 5, when officers responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of Ozark and Howard streets. Upon arrival, they found Cobb with a gunshot wound.
He was transported to a local hospital but was later pronounced deceased.
Detectives initially believed the incident was isolated and continued their investigation.
Crime Stoppers offered a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest. Following a thorough investigation, authorities were able to locate and arrest Clay.
This marks the first homicide investigation of 2025 and the first in seven months for the department.
