Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department recently hosted the PD Polar Express, an event aimed at bringing holiday cheer to local seniors, many of whom may have lost the spirit of Christmas.
In partnership with the McLennan Community College Police Department, officers took seniors on a festive journey to the North Pole, providing gifts, community engagement, and a Christmas “Believe” bell for each participant.
The department thanked several local organizations for their support, including HTeaO, Black Bear Diner, UNIFY Waco, MCC Food Service, H-E-B, Waco Transit, Waco Fire, and the City of Waco Solid Waste department.
Officials said the event was a memorable experience for both the seniors and the officers, highlighting the importance of community connection during the holiday season.
