Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department officially launched its Junior Police Academy this week, welcoming 16 participants eager to experience what it’s like to serve as a Waco police officer.
Over the next two weeks, these young members will engage in a variety of activities designed to give them hands-on insight into law enforcement work.
The program began with the students breaking into teams to create their own flags and mottos, fostering teamwork and pride.
The department hopes the academy will inspire some of these young participants to pursue future careers in law enforcement, whether as officers, dispatchers, or records specialists.
