Waco, TX – A great-horned owl was rescued after getting trapped between the second floor of the Foster Pavilion parking garage and a large screen attached to the side of the structure, according to the Waco Police Department.
The bird was stuck for nearly six hours. A Waco PD commander, a City of Waco Animal Protection Officer, and several construction contractors worked together to free the owl using pool equipment.
The owl was safely removed without injury and assessed by animal protection staff.
It was expected to be released after a brief observation.
