Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department participated in the Special Olympics Texas Polar Plunge event this morning, making a huge splash for a great cause.
Officers, alongside members of the Lorena Police Department and Waco ISD Police Department, plunged into the cold waters to show their support for Special Olympics Texas.
The event, which raises funds for athletes with intellectual disabilities, was made possible through the partnerships and willingness of all involved to take the plunge for such an important cause.
The departments’ participation helped bring awareness to the organization and its efforts to provide sports opportunities for athletes in Texas.
