Waco police department to host the COE event offering life skills, job opportunities, scholarships, and community resources

Waco Teenager Sentenced to 14 Years for Gang-Related Shooting

Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department is excited to announce the upcoming event, The COE, happening on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event, organized by the Neighborhood Engagement Team, is designed to offer youth, teens, and young adults valuable resources and opportunities.

Attendees will gain access to life skills, job opportunities, mentoring programs, mental and physical health information, general educational development, and details about higher education scholarships and grants.

This year, two $4,500 scholarships will be available, thanks to Southern Careers Institute. This event reflects the police department’s commitment to building relationships with the community, offering more than just law enforcement, but also a chance to connect, partner, and support local youth in their journey toward success.
