Waco, TX – The Waco Police Department will host its 5th Annual Community Opportunity Event (COE) on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Dewey Park & Community Center, located at 925 N. 9th Street.
The event is designed to connect youth, teens, and young adults with resources and opportunities that can support their education, career, and overall well-being. Attendees will have access to job opportunities, mentoring programs, mental and physical health resources, GED and education pathways, as well as scholarship and grant information.
The Waco Police Department emphasized that the event is part of its effort to strengthen relationships with the community. Officials said policing is not only about enforcing laws but also about building partnerships and helping bridge gaps in the community.
The COE provides families a chance to engage directly with local resources in a supportive environment. Organizers encourage residents to bring their families and participate in the activities planned throughout the day.
